Essential Gear & Preparation

  • Documentation: Keep your DL, RC, Insurance, and PUC updated. Odisha traffic police are strict about helmets (for both rider and pillion).

  • The Bike: A dual-sport or cruiser (like Himalayan or Avenger) is ideal for the mix of smooth highways and rugged tribal interior roads.

  • Stay: Look for OTDC Panthanivas or Eco-Retreats for reliable accommodation.

  • Navigation: While Google Maps works, offline maps are essential for the KBK (Kalahandi-Balangir-Koraput) region where network is spotty.
